Rainy day spelling

We were not too happy about the rain and snow during our April recess but we did the best we could. We practiced our spelling words.

We have got talent and it shows!

Our class watched the school talent show yesterday. We had several students demonstrate their extra special talents. Way to go 2ND grade...

Thanks for the glue stick donation, we are always need of glue sticks!

The warm weather is great for exercising and getting the wiggles out. We really enjoyed getting in a little extra warm weather time.

FLY Team

Today our FLY team made their final visit to our classroom. We have been working with these super high school students once a week for several months now. We have enjoyed their lessons about keeping our bodies safe. We learned about using seat belts and helmets properly. We also discussed how to keep safe from harmful things like drugs and alcohol. Today the FLY team presented us with certificates of completion, yummy doughnuts and treats!

Mrs. Barneck's Famous Eggs

Our class is so lucky to have Mrs. Barneck and her famous chicks next door. We watched them hatch in an incubator all the way to adorable little chicks. Along the way Mrs. Barneck has taught us all about eggs and hatching chickens.

Easter Egg Math

Thanks for all the donations we had a great day! We hunted for Easter Eggs to use in our Easter Egg math activity. The eggs were filled with jelly beans that we used to graph, measure, sort, weigh and create math problems with. We enjoyed such an edible math activity!
