Great Rock Experiments
















We are staring a rock experiment in today. We are going to grow salt crystal gardens. Each day we will add different minerals and chemicals to our garden and watch it grow.

Pentominoes are great brain boosters!
















We had fun and exercised our brains with pentominoes puzzles this week. Who knew math could be so fun!

We Really Rock
















Mrs. Poll helped us start our rock unit. We are really ready to rock now. Sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous...

Mr. Clark came in our class today with a high tech gadget. He brought an eye clops which is a tool to magnify things up to 200 times. We looked at all kinds of neat things including our hair, bugs, rocks, leaves and the carpet.

Measuring Capacity











Today Mrs. Metcalf came in and demonstrated measuring capacity with our class. We discussed how to measure liquids. We talked about the vocabulary words, quart, gallon, pint and cup. We also discussed how to use multiplication when figuring out how many cups were in a gallon.
